Part 1 Hello There! “My Fitness Journey” was a long, 3 part series, that I did when I first started my blog. Why you may ask? BECAUSE IT’S IMPORTANT! I wanted to share my fitness journey with you guys before…
I wanted to share my fitness journey with you guys before I started sharing too many meals, fitness tips or acting like a know it all about healthy living. I think it’s important to share this information because I am not a registered dietitian or a trainer of any sorts. Keywords: healthier and happier. I want you to change because of those reasons and not because you think you should be a certain number on a scale. My fitness journey will never be a finished series, your body changes everyday & it’s a life long commitment to a healthier lifestyle.Yet, I am a person who lost a significant amount of weight, has kept it off and has dedicated their life to living a healthy lifestyle. Some of you have watched and have been there for my journey since the beginning, while others are reading about this for the first time. To put it out there plain and simple though, I lost close to 30 lbs when I was 16 years old. While that may not seem like a huge or significant number to some, on my tiny 5ft frame – it was huge. Throughout my whole journey, my heaviest was 140 (please remember how short I am) and my lowest was 100.I was SO exhausted of obsessing over it all – finally I looked in the mirror and felt at peace. The bottom line is, I want to be fit, I want to be happy, & healthy, but I also want to LIVE. I want to get dessert on date nights, and enjoy brunch with my friends.

Fitness is crucial for maintaining good health and overall well-being. However, not everyone enjoys working out, and it can be challenging to stay motivated when you just absolutely hate it here. 😋 If you're struggling to find joy in your fitness journey, that can make achieving your goals a lot harder, but it also just makes you stop and ask yourself...As you achieve goals, don’t forget to celebrate those small victories along the way too (losing an inch, getting consistently better sleep, finding a healthy dinner you love, etc). If you reach a milestone or achieve a goal, take the time to acknowledge your hard work and celebrate your success. This is a super helpful strategy for staying motivated and feeling a sense of accomplishment. Your fitness journey is unique to you, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to setting goals.Your fitness journey doesn’t just have to be about physical health, but it’s impactful for your mental health too.Physical activity has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, boost mood and energy levels, and improve overall mental health. Regular exercise can also improve sleep quality, increase cognitive function, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. When you focus on the non-physical benefits of exercise, it can make the journey more enjoyable and less daunting.

Creating a fitness journey Instagram is a great way to keep yourself motivated, track progress, and interact with people in the fitness community.
Some people choose to have two Instagram accounts: One for their everyday life, and one for their online fitness journey. To achieve maximum engagement, we recommend having a dedicated account just for your fitness progress. The community of Instagrammers looking to support and follow other fitness-lovers may be more inclined to follow a dedicated-fitness account. However, that doesn’t mean your account can’t have personal flair. Many famous Instagrammers share posts about working out with their families, and sharing healthy meals with friends.Ask your family and friends to follow you along your fitness journey. The support you receive from them will help you stay on track. The fitness Instagram world is OBSESSED with hashtags. Spend some time exploring popular fitness accounts that you admire. Then, make a list of all the hashtags those people use. Begin to tag your photo captions with these hashtags where they make sense. (Pro Tip: Don’t tag a photo with #healthyrecipe if it has nothing to do with food.)But most importantly, remember that this fitness journey is about YOU. Any steps you take toward building a happier, healthier you are good steps. Country superstar Garth Brooks has undergone a noticeable weight loss transformation. The “Friends in Low Places” singer candidly revealed the real reason why he decided to make a big change to his health and fitness regimen. In September 2022, Garth was gearing up to perform five shows at Croke Park in Dublin and debuted his dramatic 50-pound weight loss.Garth admitted that prioritizing his own health did not take precedence over caring for his girls. Now that the kids are all grown up, he has changed his habits. The “Rodeo” crooner, who is now a doting grandpa, was very focused on getting back into shape ahead of the big shows. He now weighs the same as his 35-year-old self when he first played at the venue in 1997. “You want to try to be as fit as you can,” he added. And we have two and a half hours to get it done. So, we will be moving a lot. And physically I wanted to not have that as an obstacle.” Though his approach to health has become more series, the hitmaker did joke around about his fitness regimen and how he keeps his energy up.“This is real important: the peanut butter M&M's are the best. And then the best power drink is Dr. Pepper, hands down. So those are my two things. And then the rest of it is just [to] have fun.” All jokes aside, Garth’s wife, Trisha Yearwood, opened up about cooking healthier meals at home.
We are now focused on wellness as an important part of our lives and understand the effects our health can have on our happiness and quality of life. It’s no wonder then that a giant online community of health and fitness bloggers has sprung up to help us on this journey.
